Dreams—the thoughts, ideas, and hopes of tomorrow- are the lifeblood of today’s youth. We glimpse the chal- lenges open to us, and immediately our hearts jump with ecstasy at the thoughts of someday attaining our dreams. We strive harder, more vigorously, for our objective. Strain- ing onward, our goal tantalizing us from an ever-decreasing distance, we move forward. The goal, once hovering above us, is now behind us, as we surpass it and set a new, chal- lenging mark. The anticipation we experience, as we catch the full im- pact of our potential, gears our minds to our will. New challenges are essential to build our characters. As we achieve these goals and strive for higher ones, we gather mo- mentum and, lik-e the eagle, soar ever upward . .. toward the sky.

Seniors Honor Mr. Foy Many students only know Mr. John Foy as the booming voice over the intercom system. This year’s senior class feels that Mr. Foy has been closer to them than just a voice. He is our own “Big Chief and leader. We look up to him with respect. Not only the respect due to a principal or to an elder, but also with the respect you feel for a good friend. If we need advice or permission, we go to Mr. Foy. He always has an answer. Our principal manages to take time from his busy schedule to attend our ballgames and other school functions. We teel that no one deserves the honor of dedication more than Mr. John Foy. We thank you for your efforts on behalf of the class of 1970. 6
