THEIR TIME IS GIVEN TO IMPROVE The Niantic-Harristown Board of Education has the responsibility of determining the gen- eral policies of the Unit District No. 6 Schools. They employ the superintendent and one of the better staffs in the area as Well as other employees as needed to carry out the school program. Among the many accomplishments the Board of Education has completed during the last year are the completion of the new elementary school at Harristown and the interior decorat- ing of the high school. Also, at the high school a new athletic field is nearing completion. Included in the new field is a baseball dia- inond, football field, and a quarter mile track that has a 220 straight away. This gives Niantic one of the better athletic programs in the con- ference.
