WINTER FROLICS Master of Ceremonies MR. AL PIGG Ex-Queen Karen Bailey relinquishes her throne to Queen Joan Hart. F.H.A. President Sandra McGeorge crowns King Gary Sullivan. Compliments of ASH GRAIN COMPANY HOLBIT SEED COMPANY « 22 » Joan Hart of the class of '56 and Gary Sullivan of the class of '58 were crowned Queen and King to reign over the “Winter Frolics festival, December 10, 1954, in the high school gym. The candidates competing for the royal titles were: Nancy Delaney, Linda Tate, Kent Bailey, Dick Hurley, and Kenneth Smith, seniors; Donna Bruce, David Hollar, Maurice Doyle and Jerry Patterson, juniors; Sandra Trusner, sophomore; Peggy Delaney, Carolyn McGeorge, and Sue Goodmiller, freshmen. The Queen and King were selected by three judges at a supper and dance sponsored by the F.F.A. and F.H.A. A1 Pigg served as Master of Cere- monies while Gene Bruce introduced the Queen and King's court. Bill Oetzel and his band played for the festival.

Ring a duck and win a buck! Hurry, hurry, hurry! ! ! The annual senior carnival, February 18, was a huge success this year. A Jitney supper started the evening, with the carnival and a square dance following. In addition to the regular booths there was the spook house, fortune telling, a costume contest, ugly man contest, door prizes, and a drawing on a deep fat fryer and electric skillet. $470.63 was the total amount cleared. The money was used for publications. Compliments of LINCOLN-EMPRESS THEATERS « 24 »
