EVER SINCE EVE The senior play, presented by the class of '55 on April 22 was a three act comedy centered around Johnny Clover, editor of the school paper, Spud Erwin and their high-pressure assistant editor, Susan Blake. In the course of events Susan takes over with almost disastrous results, but Johnny's mother saves the day. The play kept the audience in roars and was both well presented and well received. Music was furnished by the school band. Stag line to the right. MOONLIGHT AND ROSES, the Junior-Senior prom, was held April 24, 1954, in the N.H.H.S. Gymnasium. A dinner prepared by the junior class mothers was served in the band room. Dancing to the music of Ben Bradley's orchestra was enjoyed throughout the evening. The gym was transformed into a garden of moonlight and roses, the theme of the prom. After dancing until mid- night, the party moved on to Illiopolis to the movie. At dawn the juniors and seniors enjoyed a breakfast at school. This brought to a close the most delightful first all-night prom. MOON LIGHT AND ROSES It takes two to tango. Juniors and seniors having a wonderful time at MOONLIGHT AND ROSES.
