Colonel John Glenn, America's first space astronaut, speaking before a group of school administrators, recently commented, The stairway to the stars is lined with school books. His advice to our high school students was to continue to use their educational opportunities in continual growth and -to nurture their natural curiosities to probe the problems of the unknown. Our class of 'I963 will want to accept this challenge in searching out for the pyramiding new knowledge of its day in developing new technical skills and learning to use these in understanding man's place in tomorrow's world of space. Each class member will have the opportunity to shape the destiny of his future by using the knowledges, skills and understandings that he has learned at Niagara-Wheatfield. I am sure that familiar names found on the 1963 class roll will be proclaimed from the communications systems of the future, praising individuals for pushing back the shadows of the unknown in areas unthought of by us. These students will bring honor to our school. May I extend my sincere congratulations upon your gradua- tion and wish you the greatest of success in opening the doors of the future. Chas. R. Clark 6 This is a welcomed opportunity to bring to each of you greetings, congratulations and good wishes. The years at Niagara-Wheatfield have offered opportunity for growth and enioyment.
