Salerno SENIOR CLASS CLASS COLORS: Royal Blue ancl Silver CLASS MOTTO: Crescat scientia, vita excolatur Let knowledge grow, let life be enriched. The Class of 1963 was led by officers Nellie Salerno, Jerrianne Woiotowicz, Barbara Camann and Robin Hickman, under the capable advisorship of Mr. Brown, Mr. Ross, and Miss Layer. The Seniors began the year's activities by holding a Halloween Masquerade Party, and continued celebrating throughout the year at occasional splash parties and other events. They entered the Student Council's Play Festival competition in November with a modern comedy entitled You Don't Belong To Me, directed by Miss Layer. ln addition, the Seniors had the distinction of pre- senting the first musical senior play, Green Pastures, under the direction of Mr. Matteson with the musical as- sistance of Mr. Shaw and Mr. Beamish. 20 Money-making proiects this year included a Pizza Party and dance, the annual Senior-Faculty Basketball game, and many other events. In co-operation with the Sanborn-Pekin Junior Chamber of Commerce, nine senior girls entered Niagara-Wheat- field's first Junior Miss Contest, in which Robin Hickman won the title and the right to compete in the New York State finals. Of course, there were also the traditional senior activities of Privilege Passes, the Nucleon, Class Day, the Senior Banquet, Senior Prom, and Graduation Exercises. All of these proved to be memorable events in the life of every member of the great Class of T963.
