Camann, E. Voelker, D. Mueller, C. Matteson, Coach CK VARSITY TRACK TEAM Niagara-Wheatfield's Varsity Track Team, under the coaching of ,Mr. Mazzei and Mr. Bach, had a very suc- cessful l96i season. For the first time in our school's history the team took the Niagara-Orleans League Track and Field Meet championship. At this meet N-W had fourteen individual winners. Co-captain Jerry Chapman was voted most valuable player of the season. ti,' Q is Chuck Matteson, N-W's leading pole vaulter, ended up the season by taking a first place at the AA Sectional Meet. The autumn leaves and the cool, crisp days brought many spectators to see our Falcons at work. The N-W Football Team under the coaching of Mr. Ross, Mr. Hockaday, Mr. Yerge, had a season of which they can be proud. The Falcon team, in its third year of playing ended the season with a three and tour record in the Niagara-Orleans League. The team showed good sportsmanship all the way. Co-captain, Gary Billcheck, a tackle, made the first team, while co-captain Mario Gervasi, a fullback, and Harris Wienke, a center, made the second team of the All League All Stars Team.
