Philosophy Niagara University considers philosophy a necessary part of any university education. So the Philosophy Department spent most of its time this year imparting the rudiments of philosophical science to students from all parts of the University. But it also offered a comprehensive program for those who like philosophy enough to want more than a taste. This year it also held a series of faculty conferences to enable individual members to share the results of their research either with col- leagues in the Department or at times with other University Departments. Anything to promote discussion of philo- sophical issues. Since we do not have a Socrates on cam- pus fwho does'?j we must do the next best thing. SITTING: W. Gannon, Fr. Mun- day, M.
