To The Class of I954 May I congratulate you on your selection of Music as the theme of p your Yearbook. Music is o universal language and as such is one of the common experiences open to all students. It serves as a unifying force l among peoples of all nations who have so many divergent interests and ideals. I have been impressed with the fact that amaior proportion of our High School students carrya full program of the so-callecl basicsubiects but also elect avariety of courses in the creative arts. They graduate from our High Schools with a much broader foundation than those of my generation. May I extend my best wishes for your future success. William J.
