During my years at E. L. Crossley Secondary School in Fonthill, I was enrolled in the Arts and Sciences Pro- gram and focused mainly on Art and Architectural Draft- ing. I was encouraged to look into the possibility of seeking a career in the Graphic Arts Industry. After high school, I enrolled in the Graphic Design Program at Sheridan College of Applied Arts Technology in Oakville. While there, I became very inter- ested in layout and design and decided to make it my career. With two years of design from Sheridan I real- ized that I wanted to be knowledgeable in what hap- pened to my designs between artwork and the printed piece. It was then that I decided to enroll in the Gra- phic Arts Program at Niagara College of Applied Arts Technology with hopes that they would help me to make my career a success. Upon graduation, I hope to find employment in a design studio and I plan to someday have my own studio. Lynn Terescsik

Debbie Steffen I would like to take this time to introduce myself andto tell you about my plans in life. I have always liked art and have won a number of art awards. This is why I decided to go into the Graphic Arts industry. I would like to direct my talent toward the design and layout aspect of the field. I would also like to try my hand at the artistic possibili- ties in the communication media of television. Being on campus has given me the opportunity to assist students in other courses such as Radio and Television Broadcasting and Theatre Arts. I have also been involved in outside jobs which have given me the experience in design and working with people. Besides my great interest in art, I also like to travel, play tennis, music, photography, movies, television and meet- ing new and interesting peo- ple. The two years that I havei been on campus, have,: increased my interest t-o learn a great deal of the busi- ness. It is really too bad that the year ended so quickiyi b have enjoyed myself andH; will really miss all the friends that I have made, .in the twa years. GoOj -igdpQc teiclQ] everyone. qA to 9Q«iloO

Eric von Wallis My high school days were spent at Niagara District Secondary School where I majored in science and tech- nical subjects. After graduat- ing in 1975, I attended the University of Waterloo, stud- ying science and psychology for two years. It was here I began to develop interests in music, bicycling, books and swimming. Following this, I decided to work for a little while, and got a job as an inspector in the General Motors foundry. After two years here, I began to feel a need to find a more challeng- ing occupation and one with a future so I decided to enter the Graphic Arts program at Niagara College. My first year was most successful, and I took an interest in the Typography course in which I majored the following year. With all of this, I hope to find a position as a typesetter with a firm in Toronto. There I plan to learn as much about the field of Communications with a view to moving to Europe in the future.
