ft I ' ve always had an interest in the fine arts but the visual representation of art always appealed to me most. In the printed media there are unending possibilities in designing and creating new ways to present the printed page and that ' s where I ' ll come in. In my spare time I experi- ment with different art medi- ums but lean towards pencil, ink, pastel and watercolor. I still plan to expand my knowl- edge of art with some formal training as I ' m sure it would benefit my career-but that ' s not in the immediate future. Some of my other interests are reading, skating, danc- ing, music and photography. When I first started college. Graphic Arts was new and unfamiliar to me but now I know it ' s the field I want to be involved in. Majoring in pho- tography and art has shown me the creative aspects and I hope someday to be employed in a publishing house or an ad agency as a layout design artist. The last two years have been a great learning and liv- ing experience for me-and I hope for my fellow class- mates too--good luck everyone!!! Cindy Perry

Robin Morse A lifelong resident of Nia- gara Falls I received my high- school education at Stamford C. V. I. .While there I earned my O.S.S.H.G.D and school letter. English, math and art were my preferred subjects along with partici- pation in basketball, football, and volleyball. Upon graduation I chose Niagara College because of my interest in art, both fine and commercial and the fact that Niagara offered a com- prehensive Graphic Arts pro- gram. Its proximity to my home in Niagara Falls made my choice easier. My first year at Niagara provided a very broad and interesting look at the field I have chosen. Typography interested me greatly, thus in my second year I chose Typography and Art as my two majors. My preference is Typography especially Com- puterized Typesetting. My goals for the future de- finitely include a career in Computerized Typesetting, as I find this work both chal- lenging and intriguing. As for the present — If I could take one moment in my hands, Mister I ain ' t a boy, no I ' m a man, and I believe in a prom- ised land.

Debbie Steffen I would like to take this time to introduce myself andto tell you about my plans in life. I have always liked art and have won a number of art awards. This is why I decided to go into the Graphic Arts industry. I would like to direct my talent toward the design and layout aspect of the field. I would also like to try my hand at the artistic possibili- ties in the communication media of television. Being on campus has given me the opportunity to assist students in other courses such as Radio and Television Broadcasting and Theatre Arts. I have also been involved in outside jobs which have given me the experience in design and working with people. Besides my great interest in art, I also like to travel, play tennis, music, photography, movies, television and meet- ing new and interesting peo- ple. The two years that I havei been on campus, have,: increased my interest t-o learn a great deal of the busi- ness.
