lnlw--,, - .'J f Dedication S we the graduation class of June 1954 leave Newtown we will all embark on a new way of life. Some of us will enter the business world to become secretaries, typists, and bookkeepers. Some of us will go to college where we will learn to be what we have always dreamed of. Some of us will join the armed forces and defend the American way of life as our forefathers have done before us. ECAUSE we are living in a democracy, a free country where the four free- doms exist, some of us may become leaders and mold the future of the world. UR four years at Newtown have been most prosperous in many ways. With the help of our new and dear principal, Mr. Francis S. Moseley, who has tolerated us so indulgently, our parents, who have guided us, and our teach- ers, whom we could not have done without, we have tried to be honest citizens and good scholars. S we turn the pages of this book, we should all recall the good times we have had while attending Newtown High. Of course, we should not forget the many hours that were spent seriously studying and earnestly learning. ITH our heads held high we should leave Newtown with a look toward the future and a prayer in our hearts that peace will be secured all over the world and that with the atomic age, will come new and more peacetime inventions for all mankind.
