With only two returning seniors, captains Mike O'Rei1ly and Rich Forrest, it would be fair to say that this year's O C SS I'O Boys' C cross country team was inexperienced. Accordingly, first year coach Dave Vona's philosophy was to concede the first few meets of the year and train to peak for the all- important state meet. Thus the Tigers' fifth place finish was not indicative of the talent that this young team possesses. Vona's strategy proved to be correct when the Tigers placed thirteenth in the Division 1-A State Meet. The backbone of the team consisted of seniors O'Reilly, Jamie Notter and juniors Barry Logan and Peter Burke. Impressive performances were also turned in by Steve Bresnahan, Tim Traiano and Rich Partridge. The future this team sure looks strong with many promising underclassmen including Brian Zito, John Berlin and Dave Wilkins.
