This year's Field Hockey Team went into the season with the goal of bettering last years record. Although they were rela- tively young and inexperienced, they managed to finish the season with four wins, nine losses and one tie beating last year's mark of 3-8-3. Their record does not accurately relfect the team's performance as many of their games were lost by only one goal. Much of their success was due to the leadership provided by co-captains Celia Savitz and Sally Weltman. Coach Celeste Myers felt that this was a building year as only seven team members were seniors. Next year she believes the underclassmen will help the team to become a league power.
