North High is divided into tive houses, administrative units which shrink the school down to manageable size. The house system brings the administration closer to the students and divides the school into well-organized sec- tions. Each house includes tour tloors of homerooms and hundreds ot color-coded lockers. A housemaster's duties include running the house office, keeping up the house commons room and above all looking after the students in his house. Two guidance counselors work in each house, aiding students from their first arrival in school to their college and career choices. Housemasters and counselors are dedicated to helping their students find most opportunities at North. Each house has a council of students from the various homerooms. Councils work throughout the year, raising money for charitable causes and the annual house scholarships. tw. if M , in Y . Gs is s ,, IZ O xfnfifvfi :gf F' ., ,, A jf yi J, ,Aon if If, ,Qi 31.. .
