rl' it .ff I Mr. Mechem NEWTON PUBLIC SCHOOLS NEWTON NORTH HIGH SCHOOL NEWTONVILLE, MASS. 02160 NEWTONIAN Although we are far away from fully utilizing the potential of the new building, our sec- ond year in it has brought substantial progress and improvement throughout our entire program. Reflecting a national trend, you were more serious this year about your classroom work and more willing to commit yourselves to the school and its various programs both within and without the classroom than other recent classes have been. The student mall, which was not completed until this year, attracted many students regu- larly throughout the day and complemented the concept of Main Street within the building. Increased offerings in Girls Athletics, new courses such as Transition and many others enriched what has traditionally been a full and varied program. The continued smoothness of the consolidation of the Technical High School within the comprehensive high school similarly added another dimension to our entire program. Certainly the members ofthe Class of 1975 have individually and collectively been re- sponsible for much of the change and improvement that has taken place. You are one ofthe two classes which has attended school in both the old buildings and the new and consequent- ly your attitudes and contributions were of great significance. We appreciate your help and hope that this experience has been valuable to you. Good luck to you as you leave Newton North High School for another major change in your lives. ZQZJXZMWN Richard W. Mechem Principal
