Meeting every Wednesday morning during the regu- lar activity period the two representatives chosen from each class plan the parties, assemblies, dances and Roundhouse. A few of the many events planned by the student council which have highlighted the year were the Sock Hop and the Coronation Dance. One of its many aims is to keep the sportsmanship and spirit at the high level always associated with New- ton High. The sportsmanship at the games and the enthusiastic co-operation and support the student body exhibited at school functions are attributed to this fine group of energetic workers which compose the student council.
