BOB TROUSDA 2, 3 LLB, 4: Boys' Stull, Rep. 3. Page Si enlcfzs That first day we started out for school it seemed as though the track which led to our senior year had no end. Remember how we would often stop, and standing on the first tie we could see only miles and miles of gleaming rails which ran on and on, seemingly forever. We trudged on, at times courageously and sometimes rather uncertainly, along the track of education. This track was built for us, to enable us to reach a brighter, happier future. Perhaps at times we wondered if the last station would ever be reached. Now at last we have reached that goal which we have worked and struggled so long to achieve. We feel proud of our accomplishment, for it has been a long, hard journey. Many times we might have been derailed or stopped completely in our desire for education. If our trainmasters had not assisted us as we stumbled over cinders. Many of us, anxious to reach the next station on the track of education, would become weary with the loafers and we were often tempted to give up completely: yet someone, perhaps some other train- man, urged us onward until at last we reached the last hill. That hill was the steepest one and as we reached the summit, we saw, for the first time, the finish line, the last station on the track. 'lNow, as we look back we realize, though it was a long' hard pull it was well worth our while. Though We do not admit it, we feel a twinge of sorrow as we witness the last golden spike being driven into our track of education.
