QD MR. RAYMQND A. GREEN Newton l-ligh School is Fortunate to have as its new prin- cipal a man ol such varied talents, interests, and experiences as Mr. Raymond fix. Green. l-lis broad education has included study at Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, where he was a four- letter man, at Columbia, l-larvard, Boston University, Chicago University, and Leiden University in l-lolland. During the World War he was commissioned a lieutenant in the United States Army. l-lis professional experience includes teaching in Rhode lsland, Pennsylvania, Columbia and Muhlenberg summer sessions, and since 1923 in Newton. During vacations he has traveled exten- sively in Europe, North Africa, and the United States. Two of Mr. Green's greatest interests are colored movies and theatricals. While at Newton l-ligh he has ably portrayed roles in several faculty plays and has actively supported all forms of school dramatics. We wish Mr. Green many more years ol happiness and success.

MR. C, ELWOOD DRAKE Mr. C. Elwood Dralce, our new Assist- ant Principal, is both a much studied and much travelled individual. Through his education at Dartmouth and more re- cently at Columbia, from which he will receive his Doctor of Philosophy de- gree this spring, his main interests in pupil guidance and mental health have been furthered. The long summer vaca- tions given to the teaching profession have provided opportunity lor him to talce graduate courses, to teach at Columbia during Summer Sessions, and to travel in Europe in charge of small groups on Five ditlerent occasions. Mr. Dralce was a teacher in Montclair, New Jersey, a member ol the National Survey ol Secondary Education in Washington, D. C., and Dean ol Boys, as well as Vice- principal, in Des Moines, lowa, before he came to Newton, where he has been Director of Research and Guidance lor four years previous to his present position.
