FACULTY PLAY NDER the kind but masterly hand of Mrs. Blanche F. Bemis, the faculty pre- sented this year an adaptation of Nathaniel Reid's comedy The Queen's Husband. Set in a mythical kingdom on the North Sea, the action takes place in the private ohlice of King Eric, the henpecked husband of Oueen Martha. l-laughty and martyrlike, Miss Louise Wetherbee gave a convincing portrayal of this royal personage. Mr. Francis J. Foster, as the king, offered a true-to-life interpretation of a penguin-loving checker player. Miss Lucille Burnham rendered a natural and unspoiled beauty to the part of Princess Anne, accompanied by Mr. Charles Peterson, eFfective lover. Forrest Paige, as Petley, and Carl Swan, as Phipps, handled well the otlices of royal ushers. Carl Birmingham was an arrogant Lord Briten, while Charles l-larrington, as Doctor Fellman, portrayed a gracious and reFined diplomat. Well- knovvn and beloved Edward N. GriFfin admirably rendered pompous General Northrup, while Donald Enoch presented loyal Major Blent of the Palace Guard. Disappointed in his suit for Princess Anne's hand, Raymond A. Green, as Prince William of Guck, displayed stateliness and grace. Francesco Argento Fitted well into the part ol Laker, an anarchist of fervor and zeal. Gladys Cunningham and Adele Loysen, as Ladies-in-Waiting to l-ler Ma- jesty, and Beverly Wilson and Lucius Jones, as soldiers, Filled in well the back- ground of non-speaking actors. ir 'Ir Nine
