Elicker, Assistant Principal, was a member of the faculties of several,other schools. At Malverne High School, Lyn- brook, Long Island, New York, he was director of dramatics and athletic teams. Later he was director of dramatics and baseball coach at Franklin High School, Hackensack, New Jersey. From there he went to Fran.klin School in New York Citygwhile there he was on leave of absence, serving as an officer in the Infantry during the World War. Still later Mr. Elicker was at Collegiate School in New York. He came to Newton in 1923 and since then has been a mathematics teacher, on the Administrative Staff, and, since 1927, Assistant Principal. Since 1916 Mr. Elicker has spent his summers in camps, the Engineer Camps of Colum- bia University, Connecticut Military Camp, Giiicers' Training Camp, Camp Lee, Virginia, Boys' Camps, Thousand Islands, New York and Montrose, Pennsylvania. The last eleven summers he has spent at Camp Susquehannock as Assistant Head Counsellor. This summer Mr. Elicker will be camping part time on the Atlantic Ocean and in countries in Europe. During his spare time, Mr. Elicker has taken educational courses at Columbia Uni- versity, Boston University, and Harvard with a few degrees thrown in here and there, as he modestly puts it.
