Chris Blyth read a Research paper at the Iowa Junior Acad- emy of Science meeting April 21, at Drake University, The Effects of Crowding on Two Inbred Strains of Mice. Chris also was an Iowa Talent Search winner. Michael Huston also read a Research paper at the Iowa Junior Academy of Sci- ence meeting, A Paleobotanical Survey of a Carboniferous Swamp. He was elected President for 1967-1968. Both Chris and Michael were NSF participants for the summer of 1966. Chris studied at Bar Harbor, Maine, at Jackson Lab- oratory. Michael studied at Northwestern State, Natchi- toches, Louisiana. Mr. Richard Foote Mr. Lyle Gatch Business Education Machine Shop 30 Don Salisbury worked on the problem of flies as carriers of disease. A study of blood and the different types of blood found in humans was Steve Smith's project, while Ralph Agar studied the effects of mold on living plants. Tom Blackett studied the effects of streptomyacin on chlor- oplasts in living organisms, mainly the Euglena. .
