Dedication HE home door is the first that has real significance for us. There we receive our first ideals and opportunities. Other doorways soon come into our lives: the neighlJor's door, the church door, downtown doors, and the school door. Each one offers some opportunity, some advan- tage to us. Are we going to take these? Are we go- ing to enter these doors? Life, service, knowledge, friends, fame, lie behind them. Lincoln passed through many doors to become at last the beloved ideal of the American people. He symbolizes the height of achievement-doorways en- tered-opportunities attained. He was a man of the peopleg the same doors that opened for him will open for us. Doors. Behind them lie new scenes, new life, new opportunity, for us.
