Through the glass sphere I see in the year l937, 120 very green boys and girls entering the large building. After getting fairly well acquainted with the process of changing classes and finding lockers. LDEY elect Louise Honeycutt as president. For the first time in our school history the football team, together with both basketball teams. Wins the championship. The National Honorary Beta Club is also installed in our school. The vision vanishes for a While, but soon comes this same group. now fairly Well civilized Sophomores of 1938. The choice for a leader this time is Andy Warlick. This year, Mr. Ciurley succeeds Mr. Campbell as superintendent and Mr. Rhyne becomes principal, The football team just misses Winning the championship, but the girls' basketball team makes the grade and comes out on top. As this year comes to an end, I again behold this same group, now Jolly Juniors, hoping to give their upper classmen a grand ban- quet. In order to do this, the junior store is kept in operation. Marshall Cline is the leader this time. Again both basketball teams Win the trophy, but the football team just couldn't quite make the climb. The next vision of this class, shows sixty-seven dignified Seniors, under the reign of Evelyn Long. The Hi-Life is published semi-monthly and the seventh edition of the CARDINAL is published. These are made possible by selling candy and giving a play Easy Money, under the direction of Miss Hall and Miss Shore. Student government is also begun. This year, our most successful, the football team misses the championship, but the girls again Win the champion- ship for the fourth consecutive year. The glass sphere clears-and We leave with a last farewell to our under classmen. LOUISE I-IONEYCUTT. Historian. Page Twcnly QS: fa.-SiQA5?QjeD '31l,f1:lZT13gbia .f t +2-:gig
