English Department Proficiency in self-expression is one of the major goals of our English Department. Both writing and speaking correctly are emphasized as strong contributions to complete high school ed- ucation. In addition to last year’s department, Mrs. Shelton, Mrs. Hoyle and Mrs. Lovelace are welcomed back. With the combined efforts of the English department, the students obtain a broad- ened outlook concerning literature, speech, and writing as a part of their daily lives.
