OUR TEACHERS HAVE A FIVE Mr. Robert Maidment On our road of life we meet many obstacles — physical, mental, and spiritual. We need a guide — someone to be our ideal. That someone has not only been an excellent ideal, but also a helpful ad- visor and an outstanding friend. Although his time is very valuable and greatly limited, he al- ways seems to have some moments reserved for our most vexing problems. This in itself is a full-time job but only a small portion of Mr. Maid- ment’s activities. Could he be compared to a “model road” for many students? YEAR TENURE ON EACH CLASS Miss Ethel Gildersleeve Serving as Dean of Girls and sponsor of the Future Teachers of America is but a minimal part of Miss Ethel Gildersleeve’s service to our school. Possessing untiring patience and im- measurable energy, she strives to maintain the high standards of our high school. Being ad- visor to the student council also requires much of her time. Could Miss Gildersleeve be com- pared to a “road map” for many students? Mr. Thomas 0. Keesee As we continue on our road of life we find “signs” which help to safeguard our journey. Here at N.N.H.S. we are blessed with a good- spirited and most helpful man who aids us in reaching the end safely. Mr. Thomas 0. Kee- see, besides guiding us on our way, and giving advice, finds time in his day to provide a first hand experience, and a laugh or two. All teachers, and students alike, agree that without the guiding hands of Mr. Keesee, all our stu- dents would suffer a great loss. 23
