RELAXED, CREATED, At the Hampton Pep Assembly the N. N. H. S. band, directed by Mr. J. P. Wilson, led the student body in our familiar fight-song, “On Oh Newport”. Anne Andrews, moderator, thanks Representative Thomas Downing and Mr. Richard M. May for ap- pearing in a congressional candidates’ debate pre- sented by the Speech Arts Club before the student body. “I don’t care how you vote as long as it’s my way,” say Bobby Dick and Phillip Gold to Mary Lou Staton, who is on her way to the polls to vote in the school’s mock election. “We’ll never forget our lunch money again,” say Betty Overman, Bob Saunders, Milton Eason, and Claudia Steele. THE STUDENTS LEARNED, No! N. N. H. S. students are not getting younger every year; these are just some of our senior girls after their number in the Hampton Pep Assembly. The N. N. H. S. Christmas family, portrayed by Louis Tucker, Phillip Hammond, Josie Morgan, Wendell Wil- liamson, Dianne Adams and Barbara Nunnally, are very proud of the students for the generosity they displayed in contributing gifts to needy families on the Peninsula. The camera’s eye catches the pretty smiles of our Jun- ior Varsity Cheerleaders who have just sung a song wishing the team good luck in the Turkey Day Game. 10
