NEWPORT HIGH is widely known for its well dis- ciplined student body, its fine spirit of sportsman- ship, and its excellent scholastic standing. This is .f the reflection of our capable principal, Mr. George O RSELVES AS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, Mr. Keesee helps to schedule students' classes. TO THE DR. NELSON is the co-ordinator of the entire Nev port News school system. His job includes securin teachers and educational materials, and supervisin the administration of the school system. Next yec he will have the additional task ot planning the re building of the high school. THE P. T. A. WITH MRS. J. W. CARNEY as presi- dent, is working continually to help bring about better relations be- tween school and home. Their main objective this year is trying to secure higher salaries for our teachers.
