Thus the necessity of making this one and only voyage a successful one-a victory in spite of the obstacles which come to all. To this voyage I call and charge you that you sail worthy of the- sacrifices which have enabled you to attain this end, Worthy of those who have labored long and patiently that you might' be prepared, and worthy of Alma Mater. y You have prepared yourselves for your voyage bylearning the neces- sity of cooperation, the ideals of citizenship, the value and need of faith in God and your fellowman. Now believe as Emerson did when he Wrote these lines: Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string.
