KNEW IIQIID FOREWORD - The publication of this annual is the completion of a school enter- prise. Journalism and Printing staffs have joined efforts to give us an opportunity to gain the experience in both the editorial and mechanical work necessary to the issuing of a publication. Under the direction of Miss Lucille Kaul this volume has been edited by high school seniors. The acquisition of an adequate press has made possible, for the first time, the printing of the BEACON annual by high school students. As directed by Mr. Miles Thompson, our stu- dents have gained valua-ble experience such as is helpful in deciding upon a vocation. We, the Annual Staff, have assembled this record of the class of 1937 not only that our class may refer to it with pleasant memories in the years to come, but that school officials, our parents, and our friends may have this evidence of the results obtained from their having provided for us various avenues of experience. Through mutual efforts requiring responsibility and initiative we have obtained that knowledge which is useful as we approach definite careers. it Q l Q up E. i' E.o.
