in classes you are bound together in the At Newport High the process of teaching and learning is carried on with the belief that a relaxed class atmosphere is the most important item in encouraging the student to express his views on the subiect. Increased emphasis of the pupil's side of the question is an important aspect of teaching that is stressed by the faculty of your school. Encouragement of this in the classroom will be a valuable foundation for active par- ticipation in whatever branch of business or politics chosen at the completion of your education. The classrooms at Newport High provide the biggest per- centage of your education but you dare not forget the after- school chat with your favorite instructor, who you stop in the hall to ask a question. The various interesting assemblies pro- vide educated speakers who are always glad to answer the students' questions after the performance. The deans of the school offer excellent guidance to the students, no matter what the problem might be.
