Earl Watson and Rita Kreindler Teachers are approached with new questions and ideas each day in and outside of the classrooms. Some may be asked to tell about themselves or explain a problem in Geometry or Physics, to help insert a zipper, or ever to help a student with a personal prob' lem. Yes, teachers are like everyone else. They have interests and hobbies just as the businessman or the ordinary house- wife. It's true that some of them may have to get on your heels to get you to do your studies sometimes, but who is benefiting from it? lt's for sure it's not they, for they already know what they're trying to teach and make you understand. Each class has its own advisor, which is by no means easy for the teacher placed with this responsibility. Get acquainted with these prospective friends by OPENING THE DOOR . . .

King. BOARD OF -EDUCATION The Board ot Education, an elective, civic group which serves without pay, works with Dr. Owens on the administrative prob- lems of Newport's public school system. They are maintaining a building program to give us modern, progressive schools, and a good academic program to give us what we really need to know in order to go to college and make a success of life.
