In fall, winter, or spring, the Newport High School student has a full sched- ule of sports in which to participate. Any one can find some sport suited to his particular taste. lndoor sports consist of basketball, swimming bowl- ing, and volleyball. If you are the out- door type your pleasures can be satis- fied on the gridiron, diamond, or cin- dertrack. Fred Tihlman and Don Robinson jump at cen- ter to open the Highland-Newport tilt. The Cats finished the season with their second N. K A. C. title in three years. Robert Stoneburner came to Newport with a brilliant foot- ball backgrcund, having coached the previous year at Cambridge, Ohio.
