Baxsketball Newport High School experienced one of the best basketball seasons in its history during the past year. The following scores indicate the 'superiority of the Newport team! Although they won no games, much experience was gain- ed. The games were: - Newport- 54 Post Falls - 40 20 Granger - 55 At the Cheney meet the team won the Sportsmanship cup and George Broten was given unanimous choice for forward position on the All Star team. The one game played resulted in this score: W . Newport, who has held the championship for three years, had no chance to show their ability. Teams were present from Ione and Cusick.
