2 The Guys Worked Hard M The Newport football team had one of the best seasons in the history of Newport. The team ended the season with a 10-2 record. They were very close and worked hard together under the direction of Coach Ziegler. Two of the big games of the season were against West Perry and Susquenita which gave us the title of Perry County Champions!!! Placing first in Newport's annual cheerleading competition has been a dream come true tor me, as well as, for the rest of the girls. But more than competing, this year's squad worked wel as a whole.
