 Viva France” and Oui Madamoiselle From the land of wine and the latest fashions, came Jacques Czernik our exchange student from France. Jacques was most impressed by the interesting contrasts between his country and Newport. Among this favorite activities are playing tennis and riding his motorcyle. During his stay, Jacques was involved in weight lifting and the Jr. Sr. play. One of the highlights of his visit was a visit his family. They traveled to Greenwood where Jacques and his family were welcomed by the French class. He commented that he will always remember fondly his stay in Newport. 23

One Year Away From Senioritis One of the Class of 1978's main responsibilities this year is the Junior Senior Prom. The hours of work, toil, and enjoyment that are shared for this event makes it one of the highlights of the Junior year. Then the anticipation experienced to see if the event is a success is almost unbearable. Along with prom preparations on their agenda, Juniors look forward to the months ahead when they will be Seniors and leaders of the pack.
