Class Poem Can you remember when . . . As Seniors we had a lot to learn, About how much we needed to earn; As Seniors we had a lot to remember, About twelve years of school beginning each September: All our friends we learned to like, And the first time we rode a bike; All our teachers we love and hate, and all the discussions on Watergate: All our classes that were interesting and boring, and all the kids sleeping and snoring; All the days we missed for fun, being late for class and having to run; Remembering the games we used to play, hoping maybe they will be back someday: Never forgetting our childhood lovers, getting books with ripped off covers: Remembering the place where we always ate, being made to eat everything on our plates; Remembering the times when we saw a bad movie, all the bands that were really groovy; Remembering the times we had at recess, and those stupid Iowa Skills tests; Remembering all the goods and bads of the past, and hoping the remembrance always lasts. 119 Jean Bohn
