'i fy 2 1, it A thipload At the beginning of the basketball season there were separate I. V. and Frosh teams. They played their own games and each had a schedule. About in the middle of the season the two teams combined to form oneg but the Freshmen team continued to play games on their schedule. The I. V. games were then played with members from both the I. V. and Freshmen squads. The Newport I. V.'s enjoyed a fairly suc- cessful season. They won 5 games while los- ing 7. The teams they defeated were: Maple- ton l, Siuslaw l, Waldport l, Reedsport 2.
