made The carnival of 1955, Panic , was one of the most suc- cessful in the school's history. The theme was carried out in the booth names and decorations. Wacky Quarterback , a new booth added this year, attracted many athletes, who tried their skill. The carnival committee chose booth names ranging from Chaotic Carver and Mad Memories to Panic Poly- gamy . The committee, headed by Student Body Vice-Presi- dent Ralph Litchfield, included Pat Church, Linda Cloe, Col- leen Simper, Virginia Gesik, Mike Zwicker, Clifford Hunter, lim Hill and Dick Hart. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Queen Marlene Williams by Louis Snyder. Her court was composed of Princesses Marilyn Bauer, Nancy Smith, and Sharon Par- ton. Although the Sophomores tried their best, they solicited the least votes and won the honor of cleaning up the gym. Prom a net profit of approximately Sl,UUU, the student Coun- cil gave S75 to the Harbor Light: the balance of the money was used to fence in the football field. This will improve the field and also increase the income from the games. After the crowning three door prizes were awarded, at a drawing. The townspeople and many others from surrounding areas supported the school in this fund raising project. ,,,.q,,,,,., like M, we v 'Y ., -dnviflg, bd! .avi D'
