FOREWORD . . . When the people of Newnan and Coweta County made pos- sible our new high school building. We were proud to share the security of a better education. When the new auditorium became part of our Alma Mater, we were prouder than ever to honor its name. When the new gymnasium became a reality, our oppor- tunities were increased and a broader scope of activities was made possible. Through this EMPYREAN of Nineteen Hundred Fifty-Seven, we have endeavored to show the interest and devotion of the present high school students. As you were there may your mem- ories so live in your hearts and may your loyal devotion remain always. Page Four . . This is the story of one Dedication We thank you for your smile and your courage which has given us the incentive to strive harder for our goals of the future. We thank you for your part in the molding of our characters to face that future— whatever it may hold. Therefore, as an expression of our thanks to you, we the Class of Nineteen Hundred Fifty-Seven, in deep appreciation, dedicate this, the eleventh volume of the Empyrean, to you MISS RUTH YOUNG Page Six IN MEMORY OF Susanne ones In loving memory of Susanne Jones whose unselfish spirit, winning personality, and whole- some manner will always be a challenge to all who knew her.
