iA lime for I lie . . . 99 1956 EMPYREAN NEWNAN HIGH SCHOOL Newnan, Georgia Editor MARTHA BELL Sponsor MISS LOUISE RUMBLE Associate Editors FRANK BARRON JIMMY BEARD foreword Time may come and time may go, but the memories of Newnan High will live within us forever. Each of our lives at school represents a fragment of time traveling the clock of our generation. Time was here for an instant- gone the next. When we were happy, secure, and comfortable, it went quickly; when we were unhappy, afraid, or eagerly awaiting something, it moved slowly. Many opportun- ities have come our way. We have poured our energy, talents, and dreams into the empty vessels of time. The 1956 Empyrean has tried to catch and record the tick as the year fades away into a memory. The Staff wishes you a pleasant journey as you travel through this, the Nine- teen Hundred Fifty-Six Empyrean—our record of time. DEDICATION In deep appreciation for the high Christian stand- ards which he has set before us, for his outstanding leadership in the athletic and scholastic program, and for his interest in the development of all the students, we, the class of Nineteen Hundred Fifty-Six, dedicate this, the tenth volume of Empyrean, to MR.
