4 . RNYQSNM -N 1.. J if 4. 45 The first Pep Club Winter Ball was held in our new gymnasium on January 23, 1955. Leo Landroche was our faculty advisor. The music was provided by the Cavaliers Orchestra from Nashua. The hall was decorated with red, black and white streamers and on the front of the stage was a sleigh, decorated in gold and silver, which served as the throne from which the ceremony took place. Ruth Gibb was crowned by Philip LaBranche, presi- dent of the Pep Club, and she was presented with a gold loving cup and a ski sweater. ln addition, she was presented a bouquet of red roses by Carla Grant. The five young ladies and their escorts making up the royal entourage were Crystal Marden. Helen Noon, Jean Ryan. Betty Shelton. and Marilyn Stevens. lfach of the young lady attendants was presented a bouquet of white roses. At the height of the dance, hundreds of colored balloons were released from above to float down on the dancers. .E

Our first social event was the annual Sophomore Hop. It took place in our new gym. Nov. 10, 1954. lt was the first social event to be held there. The Hop itself was a huge success. The music was provided hy the Cavaliers Orchestraf, At 10:30 the King and Queen were crowned, they were Robert Morin and Judy Hale. This is one event the Sophomore Class will never forget.
