First row: Nancy Finn, Judith Hale, Richard Wilson, Edward Dutka, Adelard Labranch, Sandra Dodds, Harlene Szabo. After an exciting Freshman year we entered Room 4 and our second year of High School. On September 16 we elected our class officers. They are as follows: President, Sandra Walkerg Vice President, Roger Harvey, Secretary, Betty Finn, Treasurer, Robert Szacikg Student Council Representatives, Jeanne Ryan and Andrew Crooker. November 12, 1954 was a night full of excitement for all of us. That was the night of the annual Sophomore Hop. The class worked hard in preparing for this big event. We danced to the music of the Cavaliers Orchestra. We found many new experiences this year and enjoyed working with our class advisor, Mr. Folsom.

Third row: Schultz, Mitchell, Gooch, Prescott, Cowen, Howcroft, LaBranche, St. Hilaire, Connor, Moisan, Zwiercan, Laplume. Fourth row: Proulx, Roy, Lang, Howcroft, Clark, Beaudett, Crooker, Byron, Russell, White, Abbott, Emond. Sixty-four young, promising pupils entered the Freshman Class in September, 1954. We found it hard, yet we were eager to join the many activities at N.H.S. Through classes we got better acquainted with many upper classmen. We held our first class meeting under the supervision of Mrs. Teeri. Our newly elected officers were: President, William Allen, Vice President, Eugene Call, Treas- urer, Bernard Grochmalg Secretary, Constance Bloom and Student Council Representa- tives, Joan Pohopek and Allen Russell. We started our social year off with the lively Freshman initiation sponsored by the Student Council. All the lollipops, funny clothing and noise, put together, was a day we will never forget. The Freshman Class, with the help of Marilyn Stevens, put on an assembly. It con- sisted of a play called The Soft-Boiled Egg, The cast was congratulated by many upperclassmen. We were represented in boys' basketball, track and baseball. Also many girls were active in girls' basketball and softball. Room 3 is looking hopefully towards our next three years at N.H.S.
