P Q Gazda Coach Landroche Standing Louis Lavore George Walker Edward Hamel Rrchard Caswell Ronald Wertzell and Elmer Barley Wrth Mr Landroche agarn at the helm the very successful 1952 53 ason drew to a frnale clrmaxed by a coveted b1d to the N H Class B Tournament At the termrnatron our mrghty men boasted 15 vrctorres as against 3 losses two of whrch were by 3 pornts On deck at the start were veterans Eddre Hamel and George Walker who were capablyjorned by Drck Caswell Jack Gazda Bucky Barley and Jacques Gagnon who earned regular berths rn the Mule powerhouse These boys carried therr enthusrasm down to the frnal whrstle and were rn the thrck of rt ever second as shown by therr 1108 pornts and corn pared to therr opponents' 827 Another trtle was added to our athletrc achievements along with an addrtronal trophy as a result of our capturing frrst place rn the South eastern 'B' League by defeatrng Hampton twrce and overpowering Somersworth and Exeter at home Our regular frve rncluded Ed Hamel at center who was always on hand for a tap rn and who led the frve rn pornts scored As a note rt may be added that Hamel approached the state record rn comprlrng 56 points rn the St Joseph's game with 25 freld goals and 6 foul shots Dead eye George Walker covered rrght forward where hrs well placed shots seldom missed Nrmble Drck Caswell took left forward posrtron and was famous for hrs neat hook shots Alternate guards Buck Barley Jacques Gagnon and Jack Gazda were a constant source of amazement rn therr fast outsrde play skrllful ball harrdlrng drrbblrng long shots and rebounds 4 1 .
