The bus drivers like many others in Newman High School have a big responsibility. They are up at the crack of dawn to take the many students to school and are busy until Sundown returning them to their homes. Most of the drivers are teach- ers at Newman High School or one of the other Sweetwater schools. NERVES OF STEEL are needed by the bus drivers, who are, fleft to rightj, Jack McMillin, John McKay, Jerry Smith, Bob Owens, J.M. Flickinger, Lloyd McCoy, Floyd Midkiff, and Raymond Hefner. RUS DRIVERS, SUSTURIRRS RUR TU PROGRESS The busiest of the busy-b o d i e s of Newman High School are the cus- todians, whose duties are many and va r i e d. They clean the main building, gym, band hall, old build- ing, and many times the campus. The y are fre- quently seen r eplacing light bulbs, r epair ing broken desks, and doing other oddjobs. BUSH CUUHS EEEIJ STUDENTS, TEHCHEHS While students and teachers are busyin various rooms during the morn- ing the Newman High School cooks are busy in the c afe te ria preparing the noon meal for about 180 hungry students and teachers. They begin work about 7 o'clock in the morning and are finished when they have completed cleaning up after lunch has been served. Head cook is Mrs Ed Killen right Mrs Jack Wright is her assistant. Various students help serve during the noon hour rush. SHINING THEM UP--As the noon crowd of students and te ac h e r s finishes its meal, the student assistants conclude their regular dutie s in the cafeteria. They are fleft to rightj, ShirleyBoi1es, Ethel Hassel, Sue Finch, and Sue Price.

BUSH STHFF FINDS 'THINGS TU DU' FULL HOUSE--In this Cage' it is all of Sara Wilson, Virginia Reeves, Ann Wade the office girls getting into the act at once. Sue Hudgins. Rosemary Morris. PennyMc Ther e are only two at a time working Bride, Ruth McCutchan, Laurae Neal during the six regular periods and during Jeanne Zeigler, and Mary Beth Absher Bible class. Pat Wallin, Beverly Pruitt, Jane Beall, NEW NEWMANITES--Mrs. Charles Nunn, standing, and Mrs. Hoyt Byrd, secretary to the principal, discuss the attendance record of a busy day. Mrs. Nunn came to Newman High at midterm as the new sec- retarial training and typing teacher. Mrs. Byrd also assumed her duties at midterm.
