CAFETERIA STAFF .J- New Teachers 4 4 4- h ' sm' IMI LETTERS FROM THE EDITORS Dear Friends: T ha nks a lot for waiting s o patiently for the 1948 YUCCA GLORIOSA. Now that it is here we hope you are as proud of it as we are. Thanks also to LIFE MAGA- ZINE for giving us our idea for a theme. There are some differ- ences of course,but the purposes are the same-to record some of the incidences in the lives of the people w ith whom they are con- cerned, in ou r case the students of Newman High. In addition to just pasting pictures on layoutboards the staff has sent some of its members to two special conferences for an- nual staffs over the state. In Sep- tember, 1947, five members and Miss Willis att e nde d the Steck Clinic in Austinwhere we learned the art medium of finger-painting which decorates the division page. In December we attended the Tex- as High School Press Association conference. I wish to express my grati- tude to the staff for working s o hard and doing such a grand job.
