Nov W We, the members of the 1957 Gold and Blue Annual Staff of Newkirk High School, wish to dedicate this yearbook to the state of Oklahoma in its fiftieth year of advancement and fruitful growth. We are very proud of her accomplishments. From the days of the First Run, the establishment of towns, growth of civilization, she has made a glorious struggle to become a land we love. Our ancestors have set up freedoms and protections for us. We have established ourselves to keep it that way no matter what the race, creed, or color of man. This memorable Golden jubilee reminds all of us how proud we are of our wonderful state, Oklahoma.

We would like to thank the administration for all the guidance they have offered the students in the '56 -'57 school term. They have given help with problems, offered oppor- tunities for education, urged leadership, maintained the standards established by the North Central Association, and provided extracurricular activities.
