Superintendent's Message Three great principles upon which rich and happy living can be based are love, truth, and beauty. To live according to the principle of love is to choose always those courses of action which will help the most people the longest time. Truth is the principle by which we test whether these actions will really l e as helpful as we intend. To follow the principle of truth is to continually clarify and broaden our understanding and creatively adjust our actions to it. Seekers after truth remain young and grow in spirit all their lives. Beauty applied to love and truth will join people together in worship and song. Followers of beauty fill their lives with it, continually sharpen their sensitivity to it, and try to help others to see it as they point it out and reflect it. These three principles are in line with the great creative force of the universe. Guidance and strength to follow them is to be had from this source, and from it, too, will come to the follower satisfaction and happiness, deep and lasting. 6 The 1952 Sequin
