Mixed Chorus Our Newfleld Chorus, an integral part of our music department, has been active in presenting us with music at our assembly programs and at the annual Christmas, Pop, and Spring Concerts. Because of its strong tenor and bass sections, this yeafs repertoire consisted mainly of four part ar- rangements. The varied selections heard through the year included music written by Handel, Bernstein, Bach5 Porter, Vivaldi, spirituals and novelty tunes. Gossip, Gossip , practice, practice.

Band Newfield High School can be proud of those students who are members of the band. The Concert Band has brought many honors t0 the school and community. For the past three years the band has achieved the highest pos- sible rating: an A in grade VI. The class of 66,, will always remember the enjoyable and rewarding assemblies. They will always remember Tchaikowskyvs great Finale t0 the 4th Symphonyi Beethpvenis Egmontiiand Rossini7s Barber 0fSeville7 They will never forget that the band was always at the football games, year after year, rain or shine, with a new half-time show. They will always remember the pep rallies, parades, school assemblies and M.C.T.A. musicals which the band always took part in. Lastly, they will never forget the annual Christmas, Pop and Spring Concerts. Through their wonderful years in high school they will never forget that the band was alway: thei 7 doing some- I thing worthwhile, adding more each day to the spirit and tradition of Newfield. - METRONOMES All of us thank the Metronomes, Fur stage antl dance band which features instrumentalijts from the Concert Band for their superb slrwmanship at our assemblies, concerts and dances. t
