Among the greatest achievements of the N. C. S. Band during the past year was the acquisition of new uniforms and receiving a I rating in State Contest at Syracuse University. This year, we have had another very active program. In September we played for the Tompkins County Teachers' As- sociation Annual Conference. l,ater in the fall, we marched for the Red Feather Community Chest Drive, and played at Cole Brothers School Circus. In November, seven band members represented us in an All-State Sectional program at Auburn. At Christmas we gave a concert, and in February we played on the 'lYouth Behind the Eight-Ball program, broadcast over VVI-ICU. Ithaca. In the spring we played at the Sophomore class play, prepared for State Contest, conducted a concert, took part in a parade and program Nlemorial Day. The band, which is directed by Klrs.
